Today will be my “cheat” day. I have been working out hard, and consistently, for the past week and a half, even hitting the gym for a brief 30 minute treadmill workout. I have already dropped 5.1 pounds (water weight, I know!) and now it is time to celebrate, even if it is in moderation.
No matter how far you are in your path to the healthier you, you can not expect to do it 100% of the time, at some point you will give in to the temptations and over indulge. Any trainer worth their pay should always remind you to give yourself a day off, a cheat day. Tonight will be mine.
It has been too long since I have had a girls night out, and tonight I am meeting up with a couple of my girlfriends to eat, drink, and be merry. Am I planning on losing control and go all out, undoing what I have worked hard for? Absolutely not, but I am going to have that cheat, that fun.
Make sure you take a day, celebrate yourself, your journey, your accomplishments. You are so totally and completely worth celebrating.
